Our Projects
MCO contract for EDA-R amphibious ships (2022)
Our expertise and technical versatility have enabled us to win this new contract to maintain the French Navy’s landing craft in operational condition, while ensuring their availability.
The services to be provided for a contractual period of 6 years concern the 4 fast amphibious landing craft (EDA-R) and the 9 equipment transport barges (CTM).
These services are mainly provided on the Mediterranean coast and occasionally abroad to support our deployed military forces.
Maintenance contract for Mediterranean Customs vessels (2022)
We have won the contract to maintain the vessels of the Directorate General of Customs (DGDDI) based in the Mediterranean. This 4-year contract covers refit work, surveys and corrective maintenance for the 12 vessels on the Mediterranean coast. Already the holder of several MCO contracts with the French Navy, we will be putting all our skills at the service of the DGDDI to ensure the availability of these vessels.
Technical shutdown of Acheron (2021)
Major technical inspection of the Bâtiment de Base des Plongeurs Démineurs ACHERON. During this period of immobilization, a large number of upgrades were carried out, including a 12,000h inspection of the generators, a major inspection of the propulsion engines, the bow thruster, the capstan winch and the crane, a complete overhaul of the paintwork and a modernization of the fire detection system. Optimizing co-activity in the midst of a difficult health context was one of the key factors in the success of this technical step. The cohesion between the teams, the Fleet Support Service (FSS) and the crew, combined with unfailing investment and professionalism, enabled the ship to be given a new lease of life. The BBPD ACHERON has proudly resumed its missions.
Visite Propulsion line inspection – Frigate type Lafayette
(2017 – 2019)
Preventive maintenance on the shaft lines of the frigates LAFAYETTE, SURCOUF, COURBET, ACONIT and GUEPRATTE. Cegelec Ship Repair carried out the last major inspections of the shaft lines of these LAFAYETTE type frigates (12000h / 24000h /48000h inspection), including maintenance work (standard exchange of propeller shafts and output shafts). These successive projects have enabled our teams to demonstrate once again their expertise in the fields of mechanics, handling, sheet metal work / boiler making and electricity / instrumentation. This type of experience gives Cegelec Ship Repair teams in-depth knowledge of the propulsion systems of large ships, and above all a great ability to carry out major operations requiring a wide range of skills.
Our customer’s confidence in entrusting us with the maintenance of the propulsion systems of large ships and major or critical operations demonstrates our high level of expertise and professionalism in MCO.
Decommissioning of FASM Frigates (2015 – 2018)
We carried out the works contract to secure the anti-submarine frigates in Toulon. The aim of the operation was to enable the ships to be stored afloat for extended periods, from the time they were withdrawn from active service until they were decommissioned. Our teams carried out a wide range of work to secure the watertightness of the float, the exterior of the ship (intrusion, presence of birds, temporary lighting), and to build up the French Navy’s stock of spare parts. The joint effort and motivation of the project management teams and the trade teams (mechanics, sheet metal workers, cargo handlers and electricians) enabled these operations to be carried out successfully.
